Thirteen Years Ago...

I became a mother. I find it ironic that my cousin did an honest-to-goodness, naked, bare-bones post today on motherhood. Read it.

This is my girl: my beautiful, thoughtful, amazing girl. She has changed me and made me better.

Oh, how I love this girl! Happy Birthday Dear, Sweet Savannah.

Happy Birthday Savannah! You truly are an incredible and beautiful young lady. I can't believe that you are 13. You have so many wonderful things in store for you.

Stay close to your family! Stay grounded in your faith in the gospel! There isn't anything that you can't do.

I love you with all my heart and hope that your celebrations are filled with joy and that you are surrounded with the people you love most!

I thought maybe you had fallen off the planet...BTW, your email address isn't working for me. A new one? Mine is still the same, so shoot me an email and I can change it in my address book. I can't believe that you are the mother of a teenager...she looks so happy and cute. Hope the day was great, Savannah.

Happy Birthday Savannah! You are beautiful, just like your momma said.

Jeanna, you can't possibly be old enough for a teenager...

Happy belated birthday Savannah. It was nice to see your mom at lunch on Thursday and I couldn't believe it when she said another birthday had come for you. Hope you enjoyed your day.

Holy Cow! I can't believe you are 13! It seems like yesterday you were getting a blessing because you had jaundice and your mother was crying like a baby. Everytime I see you I can't believe how grown up you are becoming. Don't be in any rush to be older, enjoy your teenage years and being a young woman.
Love ya,
Aunt Carrie
