Air Force One: The Tour

For anyone in the Smith Clan: I just read on KSL.com that Julie Beck, along with Dieter Uchtdorf and Pres. Monson, toured Air Force One today.

WHAT? Is Dale freaking out yet? Because once Harold finds out he is going to want to talk to Julie one-on-one soon, very, very soon.

Ahhh, the perks of being a general authority....

Now that's cool. I've been on the 60's Air Force One. Does that count for anything?

I just talked to Dale and told him about the tour. He's envious of Julie and whoever else got to go on the plane. As for Bill....he said "shame on them for being a part of anything Pres. Bush." To each his own. I think it's cool.

Janet, Tell Bill I think he is pretty funny. I wouldn't care which president was in the plane, I would just want a look at the plane!

Harold was impressed and wished he was there....

This comment has nothing to do with this post, but I wanted to thank you for your nice comments on my blog. I read your post on taking the foster parent training and I have to say "hats off" to you! Through lots of tragic mistakes my husband and I were only able to have one daughter, so we considered becoming foster parents but, to be honest, all the really troubled kid scenarios did get to me. I really admire people who can and do accept such huge challenges. Good luck with whichever road you choose!
And BTW- you're welcome over at my blog anytime!

Janet and Bill,
I served 11 1/2 years in the Army before I broke my back and got shot three times. I met President Bush a few times while I was in the Army. He came to visit us on the front line without any flak jacket or helmet which meant he trusted us that much. That means a lot to a soldier. I would follow him to hell and back. A lot of men in my unit felt the same way. I respect your feelings because we all have them. Isn't it great that we live in a country that allows us all to express our opinions? FYI
