I have been thinking a lot lately about why my Weight Watcher motivation has taken a huge nose dive, this despite the fact that I have come to a complete standstill on weight loss, my left knee is in chronic pain and I just plain feel lousy due to overeating most of the time.
So, in an effort to ramp things up, before they get completely out of control for the holidays, I have a plan.
How many of you out there are either on a diet program, exercise program or want to be on one?
I am going to keep this blog as my daily ramblings site, but I would like to start a new blog just for those of us who need some extra motivation/support. This will not be a guilt site, but a sharing site. A place to go wherein you can share tips, recipes, food journals, motivational ideas, etc.
If you need help starting an exercise program, someone to be accountable to for what you eat each day, or you need some sweet low-points/low-cal recipes this new blog site will be for you.
If you are interested, leave a comment telling me about it. I will start a new blog, get everyone who is interested signed up as a user to that site, so that we can all log in and post what we need to.
I am looking forward to a new motivating adventure!

I'm interested! I'm on a pregnancy diet so I need nutrient filled foods. Nathan and I are trying to eat more sensibly. Nathan is diabetic and when we went to the nutritionist a few weeks ago, she said that Nathan doesn't need to be on a special diet, he should just be eating the way we should ALL be eating...sensibly and balanced. So, we are always looking for good healthy recipes and ways to be more aware of what we are putting in our mouths. So, we're not necessarily counting calories, directly, but we would love to be part of your "Steppin' it up a notch" blog and health ideas and recipes.
i am not on a diet - i am just trying to be better about incorporating more healthy foods into my diet. like fruit when i want a snack. though i don't know if you'd want me to join the blog....
however, i have a friend named eric and she lost over 30 pounds just by changing her schedule of eating. she tries to never eat past 7pm. and she eats a big lunch and small dinner. she said she hasn't even cut out "bad things" or cut back on the amount she eats. though she did say she has tried to eat more veggies and fruit. i just thought that was cool - since it seems like a lot of people try to cut back and don't fiddle with their eating schedule.
so in a nut shell, i think your blog idea is a good one.
I'm interested in your "Steppin' it up a notch" blog. We talked briefly when you were in Park City. We all have different levels of weight loss but that point is - - do we feel good about the weight we are carrying. I'm not. Middle age is creeping up and it's harder to get off. I have lots of ideas to share and would love the encouragement and ideas of others. Count me in.
Sign Me Up, I am totally into this diet support blog! I know I could use diet buddies. I was really proud of myself, I managed to stay sugar free during the Thanksgiving Holiday and I'm really trying to be good leading up to Christmas. Then I'm giving myself permission to indulge for a week and then it's back to the diet grind. My goal is to lose another 50 pounds before Brien's graduation so that I don't feel hideous in the pictures.
I'm in! I need all the support I can get. And I really need a work out buddy. Maybe I should go to the gym for a week and then glom on to the person I see there the most. I'll walk up to her/him and say, "Hi, you're my new work out buddy. Come over here and talk to me while I use this eliptical trainer." That should work, right?
Jeanna, Thank you, Thank you. This is exactly what I've been needing. I really want to lose some serious weight before I even consider another baby and I need to get on the bandwagon, the clock is ticking. I considered joining Weight Watchers and I think I will, but this will be very beneficial, knowing I'm not alone. My biggest problem is emotional eating, I think having a place to go while I'm in that state will be very helpful. Let me know how I can help. You are awesome.
Sounds awesome! Count me in! I have a few recipes tucked up my sleeve. :)Katie
Having just started WW myself I really need the support from other people who are trying to become healthy! Especially since Justin can eat anything he wants and NEVER gain a lb. Anywho.. I started with 75 lbs. to loose and now I'm at 65 llbs to loose. I'm on my way.....
I'm on a see food diet. If I see it, I'm going to eat it.......
