I did it again. I was waiting to see who would take the coveted title of 10,000th visitor to my blog. I log in this morning and lo and behold I've reached 9,999. So, I click on the feedjit button to watch "live" who is my next visitor, happy 10K, when my dumb work computer does something funky, I have to get out and it turns out I am the lucky winner. Stupid.
I never did figure out how to get the counter to stop counting my own visits to my blog. I guess that just shows you that most of the hits I get are from myself. Pathetic and sad really.

I just got on and the counter says 10,000. I was thinking I won. Lets just say I did. I know what you mean about visiting your own blog, I love to read comments people leave me.
Congrats on 10006!That was my lucky number, just now.
On not counting yourself...log into your sitemeter account and click on manager at the top (the middle one). Then it will have an option on the left hand side to ignore visits. I have mine set to ignore my IP address. Just in case you were really worried about being the 20,000 visitor, too!
PS. This is Collette, not Brent. I'm too lazy to change the login.
If you have been counting yorself all this time, then I demand a recount!
That is too funny! I enjoy blogging and that it keeps our family more connected... but I must admit that I'm a bit narcissistic about my blog too, I like to see if anyone has left me a comment. I'm not sure that blogging is supposed to bring out your vanity but it kind of does with me.... I'll have to work on that. There is no such thing as righteous pride.... I heard that from your mom once and we both know what a wise woman she is.
